My name is Juan Manuel and I was born in Barcelona (in Spain still). Since I was first able to think I have felt vibrate my interest in this musical style and close relatives (classical music too, mainly that composed in the 19th century). As soon as my finances allowed me to, I bought a KORG Triton Le synthesizer and by that time in 2004 I joined the "Taller de Músics" where I was studying Musical Language (up to Level 2), Piano and Harmony (Level 1) till the end of 2005. About my musical hobby I could have followed the famous maxim (translated from Spanish - sorry): "I am Juan Palomo, I cook it myself and I eat it myself." (Surely more than one person would thank me for that.), but with today's Internet sharing facilities I finally chose to open this door for the whole world to notice what I've been putting a lot of my time in and, who knows, maybe attract some headhunter who could dare to propose me something, or some amateur band interested in my possible contributions. Only time will tell (Doesn't it remind you an Asia's theme? ...) Everything you can hear through these pages are home recordings: Just my keyboard and I. Some times I've helped myself with scores but you will find several whole pieces played by ear too. Finally I can't finish this story without devoting this site to my teachers at the "Taller". Without their good pedagogical work when I was studying there I would have never dared to build this corner: So I must mention Ramon Civit, Xevi García, Vicenç Martín and Enric Palomar (Well, he replaced Vicenç for two sessions.), as well as the incredible bands and musicians that have been inspiring me so much. You can send me your comments about whatever you'll find here (or suggestions, job offers ...) to this electronic address: According to the expressed excitement I will find in your communications, I'll manage my time to expand the site with new contents at a faster or slower rythm. Let good Music keep raising your lively spirit. |
